Dr. Pestle's Education

Dr. Lynn Pestle Graduated from Western Illinois University in 1969, with a Bachelor or Arts in Chemistry, and minors in Mathematics and Biology.  In 1969 he was admitted to the University of Illinois-Medical Center College of Dentistry, graduating in the top 10% of his class in 1973.  While there as a student, he was active in Student Council, serving two years as Vice-President, was a class officer two years, was a member of the Naval Reserve (Dental Corps), and completed academic and research work towards a Masters Degree in Muscle Physiology.

He was assigned to Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton for a two year General Dentistry residency, with the rank of Lieutenant.  In 1975 he accepted a two-year residency in Fixed Prosthodontics at the University of Missouri-Kansas City.  In addition to teaching responsibilities in the undergraduate program, he completed writing and defending his thesis, and received a Masters Degree in Muscle Physiology.
